Alzheimer's Umbrella Network
A new edition of this programme that offers support for families caring for members with Dementia in the Galician rural environment. It includes informative and awareness raising activities on the reality of Alzheimer's, addressed to Primary and Secondary education students. In collaboration with FAGAL, Federation for Family Associations of Alzheimer's Disease Patients.

THE COLLECTION, International Contemporary Painting Collection
CentroCentro Cibeles de Cultura y Ciudadanía, Madrid.

The Barrié Foundation presents in Madrid its international contemporary painting collections, with a selection of 31 works which also approach painting through photography, installations or sculptures, playing with the expansion and reincarnation of painting in other media. The collection attempts to answer the question What are we talking about when we talk about painting today? and its aim is to be an educational tool that brings together activities that focus on the knowledge, understanding, debate and perception of international contemporary creation of the past 30 years. Víctor Said Armesto. Lesson by a free citizen
A Coruña premises. Until 15 March
Exhibit that introduces citizens to an essential figure of Spanish culture during the course of the 19th to the 20th century, though scarcely known today. His personal archive was donated to the Foundation by his daughter Eugenia Said Santoro in 1992, and it is kept in the Library of the Foundation in A Coruña. Produced by the Foundation itself, in collaboration with Xunta de Galicia, the Museum of the Galician People and the Regional Council of Pontevedra, the exhibit contextualizes the figure of this polygraph, through the voice of his contemporaries and through Said's own documentation. Out to Sea? The Plastic Garbage Project
Vigo premises. Until 1 March
For the first time in Spain the Foundation presents this educational project on environmental education, in collaboration with the Zürich Museum of Design, with the purpose of raising society's awareness, especially the younger people, as to the urgent need of not polluting our seas with plastic garbage. Silently and gradually huge amounts of plastic rubbish accumulate in the ocean, causing irreversible changes both to the world's marine ecosystem and to the food chain. Further information
