  Más Social. Strengthening and professionalising programme for social organisations
For the third year, the Barrié Foundation and the PwC Foundation will carry out this programme which aims to provide social organisations in Galicia with the necessary guidelines to strengthen and professionalise their management.
Applications will be accepted until 10 November.

Unidades de Memoria: memory stimulation workshops for preventing cognitive impairment, organised by the Barrié Foundation and FAGAL (Galician Federation of Associations of Families with Members Suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias). These workshops are aimed at people who have been diagnosed with early stage dementia, and their goal is to help them be active in order to prevent their isolation and deterioration in their quality of life.

  High School Grants
Sixth International Programme of High School Grants run by the Barrié Foundation and Amancio Ortega Foundation. It is aimed at those who want to study the first year of Bachillerato in the USA in 2014-2015. Applications will be accepted from 3 October to 17 November.
   
  Compete x Galicia
This training programme, which is carried out in collaboration with the Galician universities, aims to improve the professional and transversal skills of graduates and undergraduates. It includes individual mentoring and a period in a Galician company to see how it works.

“Out to Sea? The Plastic Garbage Project”
Vigo premises. From 13 November 2014 to 1 March 2015

The Foundation presents this environmental educational project for the first time in Spain, in collaboration with the Zurich Museum of Design, with the aim of raising awareness, especially amongst the youngest ones, of the urgent need to stop polluting our seas with plastic rubbish. Little by little, huge amounts of plastic rubbish have piled up in the oceans and this causes irreversible changes in the world’s marine ecosystems and the food chain.

  Rafael Moneo. A theoretical reflection from the profession. Archival materials (1961-2013)

From 16 September to 23 November 2014
This is the first time abroad of this travelling exhibition, which is organised by the Barrié Foundation in collaboration with Rafael Moneo’s studio. It is divided into five biographic sections and it shows 46 projects through 17 scale models, 143 photographs and 98 original drawings. The selection of materials places special emphasis on the importance of drawing as a key tool for developing the architect’s work, as well as a way to define his ideas.
   
 
“Despertamos a las artes” (“Awakening the arts”) / EDUCABARRIÉ

Educational shows for introducing babies and children up to 4 years old to the world of drama and music and improving their emotional intelligence and sensitivity. Shows for schools and workshops for nursery school teachers will take place on 6 and 7 November; and shows for children and parents, on 8 and 9 November.
Family shows: 11.00, 12.30 and 18.00 h. Children from 0 to 4 years of age.
Free entry / limited seating: 50 children accompanied by an adult.
Invitations will be given 45 minutes before the show starts.
