Manuel Gallego. Work 1967-2015
Location: A Coruña. From 18th November 2015 to 10th April 2016

With this exhibition the Barrié Foundation maintains its strategic commitment to the Architecture that has brought great names in national and international architecture to Galicia, like Rafael Moneo, David Chipperfield, Frank Lloyd Wright, le Corbusier or Marcel Breuer among others. The exhibition, organised by the Foundation, aims to highlight and inform the general public about the solid professional career of the Galician architect Manuel Gallego Jorreto. Winner of the National Architecture Award (1997), he is considered the greatest exponent of rational architecture in Spain.
Didactics: The Foundation will offer complementary activities such as Christmas camps and guided visits, workshops for school children and for families.

Víctor Said Armesto. A lección dun cidadán libre
Location: Vigo. From 22nd October 2015 to 28th February 2016

To follow on from activities aimed at commemorating the centenary of the death of Víctor Said Armesto, which began in 2014, the Barrié Foundation, in collaboration with the Museo do Pobo Galego and Pontevedra Provincial Council, presents at its headquarters in Vigo, after its headquarters in A Coruña, the educational project "Victor Said Armesto. A lección dun cidadán libre", with which it aims to continue highlighting the life and works of the intellectual from Pontevedra and informing the citizens of southern Galicia about an essential figure in Spanish culture at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
Didactics: The Foundation will offer complementary activities such as Christmas camps, guided visits, and workshops for school children and for families.

Catalá-Roca. Masterpieces
Mira cultural area in Pozuelo de Alarcón. Until 22nd November

The travelling exhibition Català-Roca. Masterpieces is the result of an ambitious project for the research and recovery of the work of an author who played an essential part in the renewal of photography from the 1950s, and which consists of an exhibition, a documentary, and a rigorous 450-page catalogue with 300 photographs, which includes an extensive investigation into the author's life, through an exhaustive chronology illustrated with images of his study and his person, his objects and hemerographic materials.

Informative Area of the Portico of Glory
Weapons Room. Pazo de Xelmírez, Santiago de Compostela

The permanent exhibition has the central theme of history, iconography, preventive restoration work and conservation criteria of the Portico of Glory of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. It includes interactive content, photographs, information panels and wooden replicas of medieval instruments of the elders of the Apocalypse represented on the Portico. The Barrié Foundation and the Cathedral of Santiago Foundation offer an educational program designed for the general public and the school community, which will allow children to learn about heritage values and the need and importance of their conservation.

Francisco Llorens
Location: A Coruña

The permanent exhibition shows, in rotation, a meticulous selection of significant works of the artistic career of the Galician painter, and suggests a generic-chronological route through portraits, landscapes, still lifes and interiors, works all marked by Sorolla's influence from the self-portrait of his Roman period to his last canvas, La vela roja. Of the 27 works that make up this exhibition, 25 are part of the bequest of 59 works that Eva Llorens, the painter's eldest daughter, donated to the Foundation in 1988.

Christianity and the classical pagan culture were the civilising rationale of the West and, therefore, of its art, which is incomprehensible without the proper interpretation of these two sides of our now global identity. In this new edition, the series that the Barrié Foundation presents in collaboration with the Friends of the Prado Museum Foundation aims to alleviate the current neglect of these two essential sources for art. As on previous occasions, we will receive the collaboration of the best national and international specialists.

TTTP TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER TRAINING PROGRAMME

The Technology Transfer Training Programme, created in 2010, is aimed at professionals across Spain who work on the evaluation and commercialisation of technologies developed by universities, research results transfer office networks (OTRI), hospital foundations, technology centres and other R&D&I institutions. The contents of this training programme will be developed by ASTP PROTON Knowledge Transfer Europe.

Conference for young researchers abroad
Location: A Coruña. 29th December

Free entrance, limited seating capacity.
Short conferences organised in collaboration with the INIBIC, which are presented in two parts. The morning session focuses on issues related to projects that Galician researchers are developing in some of the most prestigious centres worldwide, and an afternoon session looking at different management models for a research career in some benchmark countries and centres.

Enlazarte

Project which, under the baton of the musician Cristina Pato, aims to unite, interrelate and encourage interaction between SOCIETY, LEARNING and ART, reflecting and paying special attention on the power of integration of the arts in education, exploitation of talent as a tool and the value and social power of the arts as a training tool, with the aim of alleviating the shortcomings of current education systems.

Awakening the Arts
Location: A Coruña. From 19th to 22nd November 2015

Educational programme which aims to introduce babies and children up to 4 years of age to the world of theatre and music and to promote their sensitivity and emotional intelligence, from a stage specifically adapted to their needs. In this year's edition, the series consists of sessions for schools and specific workshops for nursery teachers, Thursday 19th and Friday 20th; and sessions for children and parents on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd.
